CRUISING WITH DAVID 3-4-2011

Today, Friday. 3-4-2011, I was going to ride the bike around and sell tickets for a Rifle Raffle that the  GUARDIANS OF THE CHILDREN-RED RIVER CHAPTER was having. I called up David, whom I haven't ridden with in many moons and asked him if he wanted to ride along. He did, so, scroll down and join us on this short ride and REMEMBER: IF YOU WANT TO SEE THE PICTURE BIGGER, JUST CLICK ON THE PICTURE.

I went by and got David and he was hungry, so we decided to ride to the Pioneer of Texas (Pump Jack Diner) for lunch and then ride to various locations and sell some tickets. I also had to run by Design Masters Tattoo and see Tony and get a Texas Confederation of Clubs patch for my vest. Above is David as we head up McNiel to US82.

David still on McNiel as we near US82 (Kell Freeway).

We hit East Bound  Kell Freeway (US82) and a short time later we are at the Pioneer of Texas at 9th St. and Broad. Here is David inside the diner.

We ate a quick lunch and on the way out, David gave Heather a goodbye hug. Heather s quitting here in a few days and moving on to bigger and better things.

David also gives Taylor, one of the waitresses a hug...

David also gives Shelby a hug.

David gives Shelby a second hug because Shelby told us she was going to be the mom of a baby boy in about 5 1/2 months. Congrats Shelby!!

While David hugs everyone good bye, I walk out to the bikes to get ready to go. for more on the Pioneer of Texas diner see this link: http://www.timesrecordnews.com/news/2008/sep/30/new-pioneer-texas-diner-plans-november-opening/

I called Mike and he was at home, so David and I rode over to Mike's house. Here is David as we head North on US287.

While we were at Mike's, his son arrives. After getting the tickets squared away, I take this picture of Mike   (brown shirt) and his son, Sean (gray shirt). Mike is the former owner of my bike and he had told me that Sean had wanted the bike but Mike sold it.

We leave Mike's place and head down to Design Masters Tattoo to see Tony about that TX C.O.C. patch. Here is David as we head down Wellington to US287.

We get to Design Masters Tattoo and Tony is busy putting ink on a customer, so I talk to Lisa, Co-owner of the Tattoo Studio with her husband, Gerald. Gerald was applying ink to a customer as was the other artist, Jason. Here is a picture of Lisa (at the desk) and one of her friends in the chair.

Finishing up with the customers, everyone except Jason, who was still working on a customer,  came outside and Gerald and Lisa start wiping down their Harley's.. Here are Lisa and Gerald by Lisa's Sportster. They just put on the, I believe,  8"  Ape Hangers, on the Sportster this morning.. And Gerald's bike, I think, is a Street Glide and it looks great!

While I was cropping this picture I took the top of Gerald's head off..oops, my bad. I will get another pic of Gerald and his bike in the upcoming days.

While we were out front, another friend and former co-worker from LONG ago, Mike, shows up. Mike then went over and , with Lisa's permission, sat on her bike and tried out the feel of her new bars.

Another view of Mike on the Sportster.

This is Tony, aka, Tatu.. He sponsored me into the Guardians of the Children-Red River Chapter. I got patched in last month. For more  on the Guardians of the Children, see this link:  www.guardiansofthechildren.com/ and this blog: http://rrgoc5.blogspot.com/

The front of the Design Masters Tattoo Studio. See this link. and I put the bottom three pics on it.  http://www.merchantcircle.com/business/Design.Master.Tattoo.Studio.Wichita.Falls.TX.940-733-9151

Here are Lisa's Sportster and Gerald's Street Glide

Here is the Texas Confederation of Clubs Patch that I got from Tony. When this is worn, it signifies that your club is a member of the Texas Confederation of Clubs and that you are okayed by the C.O.C. to wear your colors.
This will conclude this post. Although I could not get hold of a friend in Bowie Texas and another friend was in Abilene, I did enjoy seeing the ones I did see. It was good to ride with David again and it was good to see Mike and meet his son, Sean. And I always enjoy going down to Design Masters Tattoo studio and hanging with the folks there. All are great people and I am happy to call them my friends.
