LAST RIDE FOR JANUARY, 2012 1-31-2012

Tuesday, 1-31-2012, David, John, Tony and I got together and went on our last ride of January 2012. Scroll down and join us on this ride and REMEMBER: IF YOU WANT TO SEE THE PICTURE BIGGER, JUST CLICK ON THE PICTURE.

I rode over to David's house to pick up David & John. Here is David getting
ready to get on his bike. David rides a 2006 (I think) Honda Goldwing. for more info on the 2006 Goldwing,  check out this link:                                       http://www.motorcycle.com/manufacturer/honda/2006-honda-goldwing-1048.html

Here is John by his 2011 Road King. John just got over a serious motorcycle accident and this is the bike he bought to replace his wrecked Harley. For more info on the 2011 Harley Road King, check out this link: http://www.harley-davidson.com/en_US/Motorcycles/road-king.html

This is my 06 Harley Road King that I bought off one of my friends and former co-worker. He blew out several discs in his back and can't ride anymore. As I had just been in an accident a few weeks before (6-30-2011) and totalled out my Harley, and  Steve made me an offer I couldn't refuse and I bought his bike as a replacement for my wrecked bike. I had named the wrecked Harley, S.O. for my Significant Other. This bike I now call "The Redhead".  lol!  For more on the 2006 Harley Road King, see this link: www.motorcycle.com/specs/harley-davidson/touring/2006/road-king-reg/classic.html

John is saddled up and ready to go.
Here is David rolling down Kell Freeway (US 82) as we head to Red River Harley Davidson to pick Tony up some spark plugs for his bike.
Here is John as we roll down  Kell Freeway (US82)

Here are David & John at Red River Harley Davidson. Both are doing their bad boy pose.
David cuts up with Ed as Ed rings up the spark plugs for Tony.

As we continued up to Byers, I had to pull over and get the camera out of my pants pocket. I always put it in my drink holder on the left handlebar so I have easy access to it while rolling down the highway. David got this picture of me right before we headed back up TX 79.
David took this  picture of me a short time later on TX 79. We then pulled next to each other and he handed the camera back to me. Pretty good trick to do at 70 mph. And, no, I did not drop the camera.
Here is John behind me on TX 79.

You can tell by his grin that David is enjoying the ride, as we all were.
Here is David as he passes me on TX 79.

John passes me and that is David up front.
You can also tell by John's grin the he is enjoying the ride. That grin, I might add, is just about universal among bikers..If you ride you know, if you don't ride or have never ridden, then you are missing one of the greatest pleasures you can have while here on Earth. And yes, I know about the pleasures of sex, love of your kids, family, grand kids etc. But riding a bike is right up there with them. IMHO, of course...
I get back in front of John and take this shot over my left shoulder

We get up to Tony's place and here he is putting his plugs in the Harley while John & David talk and look on.
Here is a picture of John's bike and that is Tina's (Tony's wife) bike parked up by the house.
Plugs in, Tony puts his tool kit back in order before we head up North to Oklahoma and the Casino's.
Here is Tony as we head North on TX 79.

Here are David & John in front of me as I  take the picture thru my nasty, bug encrusted windshield.
Here is a shot of my Harley's speedometer and we were cruising along a little over 70 mph.

Here is Tony behind me now on TX 79.
We head across the Red River Bridge and into Oklahoma on the other side of the river.
David up front followed by John, Tony and me bringing up the rear.

David pulls over for a quick "relief" break and left to right are: John, David and Tony.

Tony and I on the rest break somewhere on US 70 in Oklahoma.
John at the rest/relief stop.
Tony just traded his Road King for this Ultra Classic and he hates this Eagle on the fairing of his bike. He is going to get it buffed off as soon as he can.

One more of me, David & Tony in Oklahoma. Tony and I are members of the GUARDIAN'S OF THE CHILDREN-RED RIVER CHAPTER. Tony is also our National Rep. We are wearing our colors/vests/cuts. http://www.guardiansofthechildren.com/AboutUs.htm
Tony had this bolt stuck in his sidewall of his rear tire on a ride awhile back. He carries it with him whenever he is on his bike and shows it to the non-believers of his story.

Back Westbound on US 70 in Oklahoma. Here is a picture of Tony.
We get to the COMANCHE RED RIVER CASINO in Devol, Oklahoma and park our bikes in the parking lot.
The bikes parked in the parking lot of the COMANCHE NATION RED RIVER CASINO. See this link for more on the Casino: http://www.comanchenationcasinos.com/red-river/index.html
Last picture from today is of Tony's bike out in the parking lot. For those of you who are not familiar with Casino's, you CANNOT take any pictures inside one. I have been to the casino's in Las Vegas, Kansas City and Oklahoma and that holds true for all of them. So, having only $6.00 on me and I needed some gas in the Harley to get home, I stayed about 20 minutes and watch Tony win $150 at the black jack table in that 20 minutes and then I headed back to Texas.

I enjoyed riding with the guys and I look forward to our next ride whenever it occurs and wherever the road takes us.
